Fras-le North America's continued growth since coming to Prattville, Alabama, successive expansion plans and involvement in the community has earned the company recognition from the local Chamber of Commerce as Industry of the Year for 2019. The award ceremony took place at an annual dinner held on September 24.
The Plant Manager, Ivan Bolsoni, commented, "It is motivating to receive such a significant recognition, in the form of an award, which encourages us to continue this challenge of being part of the largest consumer market in the world." Anderson Lima da Silva, Operations Manager, represented the company at the ceremony in the United States.
Fras-le made its US debut in 2008 with the aim of increasing its global presence and meeting market goals to successfully achieve global growth in the brake pads and linings market for commercial and passenger vehicles. That was just the beginning. Four years later (2012), the company announced the first expansion, investing in modernization, equipment and personnel hiring to increase the line's capacity in North America. In 2017, new investments were made with the strategic objective of preparing the facility to provide greater support to the Company in the United States, where it intends to double revenues in the next five years.
Over the years, Fras-le North America has invested approximately $ 15.5 million to expand its customer base and capabilities, investing in its employees and new equipment for its facilities solidifying its presence in Prattville.
The company currently employs 73 people with an additional hiring plan. Their commitment to quality and performance expands to their employees. In collaboration with state and federal organizations, Fras-le provides training in various manufacturing skill sets. Fras-le North America is constantly investing in its manufacturing facilities and processes to create the best possible results for its growing business.
Fras-le brake pads and linings are available in the original and aftermarket markets in the United States and in over 100 countries. Manufactured with high quality asbestos-free raw materials, the products consist of specific formulas to each application in commercial vehicles, trucks, tractors, trailers, buses, dump trucks, passengers vehicles and other specialized vehicles and equipment.
